Websites for tradespeople with one job to do.
That job is getting your van onto a driveway. Not awards, not a mission statement, not a gallery of stock spanners — a price the visitor can see, an arrival window they can trust, and a booking they can make at ten at night. We design and build websites for tradespeople that do exactly that, then host and look after them, so the website becomes one less thing on the van’s to-do list.
Three questions, before anyone rings.
No one reads a plumber’s website for pleasure. They arrive with a leak, a dead socket or a certificate due, wanting three answers — and most trade sites give none of them. ‘Competitive rates’ is not a price, and a contact form that goes quiet for two days is slower than the next firm’s phone number.
“Will you turn up?”
An arrival window, named when the job is booked — eight till eleven, not ‘sometime Thursday’. Printing the window is the first proof you keep it.
“What will it cost?”
Prices next to the job, and an honest ‘from’ where the fault decides it. A visitor who has seen the number rings ready to book. ‘Competitive rates’ means open the next tab.
“Can I book you in?”
Online booking checked against your real capacity before it confirms — not a callback form wearing a diary’s clothes. Booked at ten at night, on the board for the morning.
We built one, to prove the point.
Caldwell & Sons is our concept build for a family plumbing and heating firm — a business we invented so you can judge the standard before spending anything. The boiler service is £89, printed next to the job. Booking runs against a live diary, two vans per arrival window, and a window that fills refuses politely instead of double-booking.
Try it yourself. Book a visit on the demo and watch the availability change, then read the case study to see every decision explained. The rest of our concept builds are in the archive.
A concept build — our own work, not a client project, built to the exact standard a paying client would get.
Which trades this fits
Booking against a diary earns its keep wherever work sells by the slot — boiler services, landlord certificates, electrical inspections, annual maintenance. Jobs with a known shape and a known price. Gas engineers and plumbers get the most from it, which is why the concept build is one.
If every job starts with a look and a quote — roofing, landscaping, most joinery — you don’t need booking, and we won’t sell you it. A fast page with honest from-prices, the areas you cover, photos of real work and a form that answers quickly does the job instead. Which version you need depends on how your work comes in, and that’s the first thing we’ll ask.
- Plumbers
- Gas engineers
- Electricians
- Joiners
- Roofers
- Plasterers
- Landscapers
- Decorators
- Tilers
- Locksmiths
- Drainage engineers
…and any trade where the visit books by the slot.
What £750 gets a sole trader
One sharp page, designed around your trade rather than dragged from a template. Your jobs with prices against them, the areas you cover, photos of work you have actually done, and your number one tap away for everyone who would rather just ring.
It loads in under a second on a phone, because that is where your customers are — standing in a hallway with a dripping ceiling, not at a desk. We set up your Google Business profile alongside it, and the page is usually live in about a week. After that it is £35 a month to host, secure, back up and edit. Online booking against a live diary lives in the Premium build — the pricing draws the honest line between the two.
- A single page, designed around your trade
- Your jobs with prices printed against them
- Enquiry form straight to your inbox
- Mobile-first, loads in under a second
- Google Business profile set up
- Live in about a week — then £35/mo care, cancel on 30 days’ notice
Straight questions, straight answers
Anything else, just ask — we reply within one working day.
Do I actually need online booking? +
Honestly — maybe not. Booking earns its keep when work sells by the slot: boiler services, landlord certificates, inspections. If every job starts with a look and a quote, a fast page with prices, your patch and a tappable phone number does the work, and that is the £750 Starter. Tell us how the work comes in and we will say which you need — including when it is the cheaper answer.
Can customers still just call me? +
Yes, and most will. Your number sits at the top of the page as a tap-to-call link and nothing gets in its way. The site’s job is to answer the price and turn-up questions that make someone confident enough to ring — booking is there for the ones sorting it at ten at night, when neither of you can talk.
What about my Checkatrade and Google reviews? +
They stay where they are — that is what makes them believable. We link to your real profiles and set up your Google Business listing, but we never paste reviews onto the site as decoration and we never invent them. A link a customer can check beats a wall of quoted praise.
How quickly can it be live? +
A Starter site is usually live in about a week from the day we have your content — your jobs and prices, the areas you cover, a few photos of real work. A booking build takes longer, because there is a diary to set up. Either way the price and the scope are fixed in writing before we start.
Put your prices on the page.
Tell us your trade and how the work comes in. We come back within one working day with ideas and a fixed quote — no pressure, no jargon.
